This piece was started at one of my favorite places.  "Summer Marsh" is painted from a different view of this marsh.  Painting this piece, in winter, the air sounded with honking and cackling of geese and quacks and splashes of ducks.  Marsh wrens rustled in the dry cattails and grasses.  To my back, there was a band of "old" coots, black ducks with stark white bills, they grumbled and murmured as they dabbled in the shallow water.  It was a wonderful foggy, cozy morning with good company.
