Part of a series of small paintings I am doing at Table Bluff, overlooking the Ocean to the west, the Eel River delta to the south, and Humboldt Bay to the north.  I have been entranced with the grasses and wildflowers as they have started their change from verdant green to the gold of summer.  The wind riffles across these grasses, charging the scene with a gentle energy.  This one I started on-site and finished with reference photos.
